RFI enables users to conduct inspections with reduced time and effort and restricts compromising the accuracy and consistency of the inspection process.
During Project Management, the Request for inspection can come from various departments, teams, or individuals within an organization. The system allows users to process these RFIs and create new RFIs as and when required based on the business need.
With the RFI module, project users can route diverse requests that arise due to various factors, which include but are not limited to:
Material - Replacement request for any change in purchased materials due to different reasons like an improvement, materials not matching with exact specification, and other engineering reasons
Design - corrections, deficiencies, or improvements or corrections in the initial design
Drawing - Alterations, improvements, or corrections in the initial drawing
Contract - Terms of the agreement mutually agreed upon and signed between the involved teams
Civil work - Problems or issues that arise when the design or plan does not seem feasible for implementation
Mechanical work - Diverse activities, a few of which include but are not limited to procuring licenses and certifications, the scope of responsibilities, project deadlines
Electrical work - Diverse activities, a few of which include but are not limited to procuring licenses and certifications, the scope of responsibilities, project deadlines
From the RFI interface, users can select the specific department that needs inspection and determine the type of inspection. In addition to specifying the "Type of Inspection" to perform, users can also choose the date and time for conducting the assessment and provide extra notes or requirements to the inspector. This process ascertains compliance with project requirements.
The workflow then automatically routes this information to the next-level project participants or groups for taking action.
The system allows you to create and apply custom workflows to RFIs and route them across the designated members or groups for review and approval at successive stages. During the RFI workflow, members can attach notes and send them to the next level for inspection.
