Sharing files is commonly practiced across all businesses, projects, and teams. Document management enables collaboration by allowing users to share files securely and protect sensitive data.
You can share the folders and files with specific member(s) or group(s) within or outside the project scope. Also, control access to members by providing permission to view, edit, comment, or even delete the file.
Items within a project's repository are available for viewing by the project participants, depending on the permissions assigned to the folder and its contents.
You can only define and change access restrictions on the folders that you created and own
You cannot change the access permissions of other members' folders even though you have access and permissions
The access permission set up on a parent-level folder extends to its sub-folders. However, you can change the permission level of the sub-folders.
Types of access permissions that apply to folders and files:
Anyone in the project can find and view
Anyone in the project can edit
Specific members or groups can view or edit the folders and files
