Setup the Record Number for a Module

A default numbering sets in for every module that is created in the system. 

You are allowed to customize and create a record numbering sequence as per your business needs. 

Whenever you create a new record, a unique number is automatically assigned to it. The numbering is applied only to the newly created records and not for any existing records that's modified.

Step-by-step Instructions

Step 1: When creating a new module, the application prompts you to enter the Record - Number Pattern.

Step 2: Enter any character in the field. You get a hint to enter the record number in the prescribed format.

Step 3: Enter the details following the format and save.

NOTE(S):

• After saving the module sequence number, the system will not allow you to change it to any lower value.

• The newly created records will have a new sequence number.

The record number displays in two locations:

1) Log page view

2) After entering and saving the details on the form
